Alpha's back with their new performance 'sink for the Intel Pentium 4 - 478.
Taking a slight design modification from their already impressive PAL8045, the new
PAL8942 has been redesigned to work with the new cpu.
The PAL8942 is slightly larger than the 8045 and has a slightly better thermal resistance
of 0.23 C/W (compared to 0.28 C/W on the 8045).
The really nice feature of this unit is just like that of the PAL8045... You can put any
80mm fan you like on it to determine it's performance and noise level. If you want quiet
and stable cooling - nothing can touch our Papst 80mm fans combined with the PAL 8942.
You can't even hear the fan run! If you're serious about overclocking - snag one of the
Vantec Tornado 84 CFM 80mm fans for the ultimate in cooling!
Our large selection of 80mm Fans can be found HERE. You will also be given the
option of adding a fan when you add the cooler to your shopping cart.
The basic package comes with the heatsink, screws for mounting a 80mm x 25mm
fan on top of the 'sink, the heatsink clip, and some thermal
grease (Zinc Oxide). We suggest using Arctic Silver 5 over the supplied grease for the best
possible performance.
Dimensions:
80mm (with fan installed) H x 90mm L x 78.5 mm W
