The Thermalright CB-6L is designed for the computer user who is not interested in overclocking. The CB-6L is a hybrid heatsink - meaning that it is made up of aluminum fins and a copper base for enhanced cooling performance when used with the very hot AMD Duron, Thunderbird, or XP CPUs. It's rated for AMD and Intel: Celeron and Pentium 3's up to 2.0GHz. Athlon XP Palamino, Thoroughbred, and Barton CPUs 2800+ and up.

The CB-6L comes equipped with a Sunon 60mm x 10mm vapor bearing nine blade fan. This fan moves 19 CFM with a noise level of 33.5 dBA. This will keep the CPU stable and the noise level is quite tolerable.

The 'sink uses the same clip as found on the Thermalright SK-6, so installation is uneventful and quick. Thermalright also supplies the unit with a thermal pad for quick out of the box use of the 'sink. If you want the best possible performance - be sure to use thermal grease and not the thermal pad

Performance notes: - If you wanted better performance out of the unit, you could always simply remove the supplied fan and put a more powerful 60mm fan on the 'sink. Even better - with a fan adapter you could put a 80mm fan on the unit for even more airflow/noise options.
